Did you know that most major retailers make the bulk of their revenue for the year on Black Friday?!
If you have not already put a plan into place to capitalize on the biggest shopping day of the year, I highly suggest that you take the time to get prepared.
Here are 5 ways to make sure that your business is Black Friday ready…
Make sure your graphics are on point.
There will be a LOT of business vying for the same attention in hopes that shoppers will choose them over their competitors. Make sure that your graphics are eye-catching to make your business stand apart from the rest. Also, be sure that they are clear, easy to read, explains your offer (sales, percentages off of products/ervices, etc.), and include a call to action.
Prepare your sales emails.
Set aside time to write and pre-schedule your sales emails to send out to your email list. These are warm leads that are already interested in what you have to offer, so make sure that they are aware of your Black Friday offerings. Don’t be afraid to send out more than one email…give a teaser email days before, sneak peak of what will be available, etc. Get them excited and ready for the day to arrive to snag their goodies. Remember, BIG businesses advertise constantly (you’ve probably seen about 50 McDonald’s commercials already today lol), why shouldn’t you?
Get your website ready for the traffic increase.
Make sure that your web server and hosting company is reliable and can handle the influx of traffic to your site on this day. One of the worst things that can happen is for your website to crash, causing you to lose out on hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of sales. Yikes!
Have enough products on hand to meet the demand.
Do a check of your inventory to make sure that you have ordered enough products. The last thing you want is to make your customers wait a long period of time for their orders/products. Remember, holiday shipping times are already slower. Don’t increase that time by having to wait for your products to arrive before you can send them out. How do you know how much to order: Do a sales projection based on last years sales, your marketing efforts, ad spend/budget/effort, etc.
Get a team to fulfill orders.
Do you have enough staff/help to get orders placed, packaged, and shipped? What about customer service? If people have questions, how can they get them answered, and in a timely fashion? Make sure you have enough help to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Preparation is the key to success. Use this weekend to tighten up all loose ends. Check your funnels, systems, etc.
Have a friend or someone you trust run through the process or sales funnel to make sure everything is working properly. You don’t want to discover glitches and have to put out fires DURING your sale.
Relax. Get excited for the sales to roll in and enjoy the sweet sound of hearing your Paypal blinging!
